The Stoke Roads Sisters started out in July 2014 . We meet on the first Wednesday of each month at the Stoke Road Methodist Church in Gosport at 7.30pm.
Our four years have just flown by and so far we have got involved with circus skills, cupcakes, skittles nights, quizzes, ghost walks, local history and more serious topics like the decriminalisation of prostitution, organ donation, flower arranging, The Royal British Legion and local food banks. 2017 is looking equally busy!
We are a very mixed WI of all ages and walks of life; no one is too young or too old to join us which makes our group very fresh, fun and current yet still keeping the traditions and ethos of the WI. We are all real women with much to share. We love to make new friendships and try different experiences and learn something new. Our ladies love life!
We have groups outside our meetings, crochet, book club, craft mornings and soon to be evenings. we often get together and visit the cinema and theatre. Although we are an evening group we do have some day time activities and there are often day trips arranged through the year.
We currently have 75 members and sadly we are a bit full at this time. We do have a waiting list though and we would be happy for you to join this. You are most welcome to come along and visit us. Please let us know if you are coming beforehand as space is limited. We look forward to meeting with you and hopefully you will have lots of fun, make new friendships and happy memories and want to come back and see us. You will be made to feel very welcome by us all.
