We meet at 7.00pm for 7.30pm on the 3rd Thursday of the month at Crowe Hill WI Hall, Crowe Lane, Ringwood, BH24 3DZ

October 17 The Rev K Stewart Timbrell is coming to give us a talk called Clerical Errors we have heard that his anecdotes are hilarious so should be a fun evening. The Competition will be a Limerick to include the word “Vicar”
November 21st we are having a Christmas Craft evening Some of the clever crafty members will attempt to teach the rest of us mere mortals how to make a variety of Christmas nik naks Our competition is going to be a Model or collage made out of milk bottle tops – we have been gathering them for the past few months and all spares will be given to a charity collector.
December 19th is the Christmas Party and this year we are being joined by one of our favourite speakers – Bonny Sartin of Yetties fame. The competition will be something made at the previous meeting
January 16th we will be having our annual dinner (venue TBC)
February 20th our speaker will be David Stocks whose talk is entitled Beatrix Potter – Dispelling the Myths The Competition will be a photograph of a Beatrix Potter Character which can be a real animal or a model/stuffed toy so we are looking forward to photos of Jemima Puddle Duck, Squirrel Nutkin, Jeremy Fisher or one of the many other subjects of the writers vivid imagination.
March 19th our talk entitled Totty’s Goodlife is by Debra Cruttenden and we are challenging the members to make cookery items to include Honey for the competition
April 16th we will be having a talk/demonstration about First Aid the speaker is TBC at the moment. the competition is “Teddy has had an accident”
May 21st is the Annual Meeting and Resolutions night and we will be having our usual fund raiser and 10 items in a shoe box competition – the letter for this year will be K and the aim is to find 10 items which no one else has thought of.
June 18th – the last date on the current programme and we will have an outdoor event (weather permitting) or be going down the pub!
In addition to our regular meetings we have:-
- Skittles and/or Mexican Trains on the first FRIDAY
- Knit and natter on the second MONDAY
- A social afternoon at the end of the month
- Darts practice is now every other TUESDAY
