Thank you for taking an interest in our web site. We are always glad to welcome visitors and new members; do please come along and enjoy a sociable evening with us.
We are a friendly, lively and enthusiastic bunch of approximately 30 members at present, meeting in our WI Hall, Crookham Village, GU51 5SJ on the 1st Wednesday of every month at 7.30pm. Crookham Village is a pretty village dating back to 1200 AD; it is situated by the Basingstoke Canal, a mile away from Fleet and is part of the Hart District.
Our Crookham Village WI started in 1951 and has ever since been a strong asset to the local community through the use of our Hall. Mothers & Toddlers Group, Horticultural Society, Bridge Group, Beekeeping society and the Parish Council meet there regularly.
We are part of the Hart Group of WIs and take part in the Group yearly quiz and skittles tournaments, as well as the bi-yearly Group meetings and the Group Carols. We also actively support the County and National Federation events. We also have extra activities as we like to organise various outings on coaches, like “untouristic” parts of London, in conjunction with other local WIs.
Do come and visit us and you will get more than a warm welcome and a cup of tea, a whole array of current information and new interests.
In addition to our monthly meetings we have a Book Club and Craft Club held on the 2nd and 3rd Wednesdays respectively.
