A Warm Welcome awaits Members, Visitors and Guests to Chilworth WI
We meet on the 2nd Thursday each month 2-15 for 2.30 start until 4.30pm
Please note that there will be a £5 charge for visitors which will include refreshment
The Village hall is situated on the main A27 between Southampton and Romsey, with its entrance alongside the Chilworth Arms pub/restaurant. The postcode is
SO16 7LD. There is a ramp at the back of the hall to enable wheelchair / disabled access and there is a loo with easy disabled access. Click here for a map
Our next meeting is on 9th MAY – Which is our Annual meeting – but with a bit of fun – and tea and cake as usual
Chilworth WI singing Group – newly formed – We opened the Performing Arts concert and sang our Anniversary Song, which was written and arranged by Val Hickox, and we were chosen to sing it again at the Spring Council in Portsmouth
Evening Book / Reading Group – This Group meet every six weeks. The meeting is held at a members house. Next meeting date – 21st May – chosen book – ‘I am, I am, I am: 17 Brushes with Death’, by Maggie O’Farrell, 25th June – chosen book – ‘The Presidents Hat’ by Antoine Laurain and 23rd July – chosen book ‘Let me Lie’ by Claire Mackintosh.
After a few enquiries, we are in the process of trying to put together an Afternoon Book Reading Group. Please email email@example.com for update on progress and if you are interested in joining
Craft Group to include knit, crochet, needlework, paper crafts, embroidery – and any other crafts requested – just to get us started. Last month we made re-usable sandwich wraps – We meet on the 1st Thursday of the month, at North Baddesley Baptist Church Hall – Nutburn Road 2pm – 4pm – the next meeting will be 6th June – Cost £4.00 per session depending on numbers to cover cost of hall hire. Refreshments supplied.
Theatre Group – 16 of us enjoyed ‘Calendar Girls’ at the Mayflower. We have reserved seats for ‘The Lady in the Van’ at Romsey Plaza on July 17th – cost £11.70. A few tickets still available – contact firstname.lastname@example.org if interested

NEW – Walking Netball – The ball is rolling and will soon be thrown about when we get our final enrolment to the National Walking Netball events – 5 of us went to a meeting with Rep from England Netball – almost there ladies, soon be on that court – hopefully.
New Table Tennis Group – This has been set up by one of our members and will be held at her house every other Tuesday afternoon for up to 8 people at a time. It is going well and all ladies, newbies, beginners and ‘Murrayettes’ are enjoying it and having fun.
