Chilbolton WI came into being in 1917. Since when it has continued to be a popular and well attended cornerstone of village life. Our current membership is 29. In recent years, we have established a walking group, a book club, regular coffee mornings and lunches. We also organise other activities throughout the year, including outings and Theatre Visits, Country Walks, Seasonal Soup and Ploughman’s Lunches and Afternoon Teas. Members knit jumpers for the children of Zimbabwe and contribute towards the contents of Crisis Centre boxes as well as the Andover Food bank- which we’ve visited. We also like to take part in the various competitions and events organised by the Hampshire Federation & the Anton-Danebury Group (to which we belong) such as Skittles and Quizes as well as the Spring and Autumn meetings. We look forward to the varied topics of the Speakers booked for our Monthly Meetings. These are listed on our Programme for 2017 displayed below. Does anything catch your eye? Why not come and see for yourselves? Visitors are always welcome.
We meet on the third Tuesday of each Month at the Village Hall, Eastman’s Field off Drove Road Chilbolton. Just turn up at 7:15 for a warm welcome and a prompt 7:30 start. Home- made refreshments are available a £4 donation applies.
