Bidbury Mead W.I. started in 1977, has a lively membership who enjoy a varied programme of interesting speakers, outings and social gatherings.
We support National Campaigns and are often involved in local community projects and events. Our members donated a “Spider Bin’ to the refurbished children’s playground on Bidbury Mead. During the Centenary Year our members donated 100 wash bags filled with essentials and also children’s quilts to the local women’s refuge.
We raised funds to support the work of the Tuppenny Barn where, passionate about food and growing organic produce, they strive to educate children about where food comes from, he nutritional benefits of eating fresh fruit and vegetables and the skills to grow and cook their own healthy meals.
Craft, Book, Gardening and Darts groups meet regularly to share skills, discuss ideas and enjoy each others’ company.
We meet at 7.30pm on the 3rd Thursday of each month (except August) in St. Nicholas Church Centre, Belmont Grove, Bedhampton, Havant, PO9 3PT. The centre has disabled access.
New members and visitors are always welcome to join us at our meetings.
