Welcome to Barton Stacey WI page, we hope you will find plenty to interest you. Our WI is just five years old and has a mixed age range but it is well known for being friendly and welcoming to the Village Hall, The Street, Barton Stacey SO21 3RH. It is on the flat from The Street.
Our exciting programme is underway in the Village Hall. We still could Zoom but hopefully we will be able to meet in the hall with the Covid Rules in place. If you do visit, you will find there is always a warm welcome and plenty of lovely home made cake and coffee/tea to enjoy over a chat. Meetings are on the last Thursday of the month (except August and December).
We held the Women’s Health Evening and were delighted to see some new faces from the village and further afield. Sarah and Fiona gave excellent presentations on issues that concern us all and took questions too. They were joined by Clair who was about to go to Westminster the following morning to support the campaign for reduced charges for women who need HRT. She gave an account on how the menopause hit her and how she coped with it by being active to help others like her. The meeting was in response to this year’s resolution bringing awareness to Ovarian Cancer. Each attendee received an information pack to help them get help or at least understand the life changes they are experiencing.
