HAMPSHIRE COUNTY FEDERATION OF WOMEN’S INSTITUTES

About Us

Who Are We?

We are Hampshire County Federation of Women’s Institutes (HCFWI) comprising 187 local branches of the Women’s Institute. Each one meets at least once a month and there is one near you! As well as the local WI meetings, there are county and national events open to all members.

WHERE IS MY LOCAL WI?

What is the Women’s Institute?

The WI is a democratic, social and educational charity. Every WI provides monthly speakers/demonstrators on a variety of topics decided by members. Other meetings, crafts, walking, discussion or drama groups, choirs etc, are decided by members of individual WIs. The subscription is deliberately modest in order to ensure that all women who wish to join may do so. Events are organised throughout Hampshire and include crafts, arts, sports, leisure, drama, public and international affairs, leadership and much more.
