The Whiteley WAGs (Women and Girls) are a modern twist on the traditional WI model. We are bright and lively and our aim is to have fun in our WI. Our membership is currently full at 80 members, but we do welcome visitors every month. Anyone interested in becoming a member will be added to our waiting list and will be notified when we have a space for you.
Whiteley WAGs WI meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month at Whiteley Primary School, in the small school hall from 7.30- 9.30 pm

We have lots of exciting meetings planned for 2017, as well as a Craft group, Reading group, Walking club, Bridge club and 4 Dress for Dinner evenings where we get glammed up and sample our local restaurants.

JANUARY 12th- CARE ABOUT CANCER– We welcome a speaker from The Haven Breast Care Centre, plus Santa’s mistakes raffle and a chance to vote for the Resolutions on the shortlist.
FEBRUARY 9th -CHOCOLATE HEAVEN-A talk about chocolate, followed by taste samples and the chance to buy chocolate, and if that isn’t enough chocolate for one night, bring along a chocolate creation for our Chocolate Cake Bake Off
MARCH 9th -LOVE FOOD, HATE WASTE – Hear about the work of Hampshire County Council’s initiative, Smart Living, plus meet a representative from the Gosport & Fareham Basics Food Bank
APRIL 13th – TRASH IN THE ATTIC – Tonight we invite the MD of Bellmans Auctionneers to talk of life under the hammer, plus an Antiques-Roadshow style valuation and a fun auction as our raffle prizes go under the hammer
MAY 11th – YOU COULDN’T MAKE IT UP – The meeting covers the business of the Annual Meeting, the election of the Committee and President. Bake and buy for our Bake Sale, and listen to story teller Jane Goring as she brings stories to life.
JUNE 8th – PICNIC AT THE PALACE – Tonight we have our annual away-day! We meet at 7pm (not 7.30pm) at Bishops Waltham Palace for a private guided tour, bring your own picnic along and enjoy a summer evening in great company in stunning surroundings.
JULY 13th – BAGS OF FUN– We all love a bag – tonight we enjoy a talk about bags, bring along any unwanted or unloved bags for a bag swop. Ever played bag bingo or who’s in the bag? You are in for a treat tonight!
AUGUST 10th – SKITTLED OUT – NO FORMAL MEETING but we have a Social Skittles night at The Crofton pub. Food and laughter, what more could anyone want?
SEPTEMBER 14th -EDWARDIAN TIME TRAVELLER – Something a little different tonight – Edith and I, the trail of an Edwardian traveller in Kosovo
OCTOBER 12th -“I AM STILL A PERSON” – Understanding Dementia and how we can help; volunteering opportunites in the local area and harvest food sharing
NOVEMBER 9th- BIRTHDAY BINGO – The WAGs celebrate their 7th birthday with Bingo, food and cake
DECEMBER 14th- DING-DONG!- Join in learning to play handbells, drinking and eating Christmas goodies
