A Warm Welcome awaits Members, Visitors and Guests to Chilworth W.I.
Please note that as from the next meeting, December 14th, there will be a £5 charge for visitors and for every meeting afterwards
We meet on the 2nd Thursday each month 2-15 for 2.30 start until 4.30pm
The Village hall is situated on the main A27 between Southampton and Romsey, with its entrance alongside the Chilworth Arms pub/restaurant. The postcode is SO16 7LD. There is a ramp at the back of the hall to enable wheelchair / disabled access and there is a loo/wash room with easy disabled access. Click here for a map.
Our next meeting is on 14th December when we have Alan Page coming to show us how to do some Christmas floral arrangements. We will also have our Winter Sales /Craft Table – so do bring along some goodies for sale. (Cakes, biscuits,handmade items – gift tags etc or any thing suitable /seasonal that someone might like to buy. Money raised for our speaker fund / hall hire next year.
We are busy finalising our plans for our extra January meeting (12th January) with Dame Esther Rantzen as our speaker talking about Loneliness. This will be held in Crosfield Hall – Romsey. If you were successful getting a ticket in the ballot , car sharing to limit amount of car parking spaces required is advised.
The Crosfield Hall car park is a Pay and Display and there are other similar car parks nearby.
Book / Reading Group – This Group meet every six weeks. The meeting is held at a members house. The next meeting is on 23rd January 2018and they will be reviewing ‘ My Grandmother sends her Regards and Apologies’ by Fredrik Backman. The following meeting is on 13th March and the book will be ‘Old Filth’ by Jane Gardman. Contact Carole at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com for more details.
Craft Group to include knit, crochet, needlework, paper crafts, embroidery – and any other crafts requested – just to get us started. To be held on the 1st Thursday of the month, at North Baddesley Baptist Church Hall – Nutburn Road – the next meeting will be on Thursday 7th Dec- Cost £4.00 per session depending on numbers to cover cost of hall hire. Refreshments supplied. We will be finishing our embroidery that we started last month, and Marylou has some Christmas Crafts for us to try. Our knitted Poppy wreaths were well received. One by Jeremy, our November speaker and the other was placed on the Chilworth War Memorial – opposite the hall

Lunch Club – A really enjoyable 4 Course Christmas Lunch was enjoyed by 36 ladies at Aspire Restaurant – Southampton City College. Next date TBA
