We will be unable to accommodate visitors at our Birthday meeting in June – Invited Guests and members only
We meet on the 2nd Thursday each month 2-15 for 2.30 start until 4.30pm
The Village hall is situated on the main A27 between Southampton and Romsey, with its entrance alongside the Chilworth Arms pub/restaurant. The postcode is SO16 7LD. There is a ramp at the back of the hall to enable wheelchair / disabled access and there is a loo/wash room with easy disabled access. Click here for a map.
On12th January – we held our extra special meeting with Dame Esther Rantzen and our 250 invited other Hampshire WI ladies
Our next meeting is on 10th May which is our AM and will be chaired by our WI Advisor Cathy in the Presidents absence. Cathy is also going to give us a talk on the History and Structure of the WI
Evening Book / Reading Group – This Group meet every six weeks. The meeting is held at a members house. The next 3 dates are 5th June with the book being ‘The Dressmaker of Dachau’ by Mary Chamberlain, 24th July – ‘The House on the Strand’ by Daphne du Maurier and 4th Sept – The Language of Flowers’ by Vanessa Diffenbaugh. We are in the process of trying to put together an Afternoon Book Reading Group after a few enquiries. Please email email@example.com for update on progress and if you are interested in joining
Craft Group to include knit, crochet, needlework, paper crafts, embroidery – and any other crafts requested – just to get us started. To be held on the 1st Thursday of the month, at North Baddesley Baptist Church Hall – Nutburn Road – the next meeting will be on Thursday 7th June – Cost £4.00 per session depending on numbers to cover cost of hall hire. Refreshments supplied. .
Theatre Group – Seats now booked for Calendar Girls at the Mayflower January 2019 – Watch this space for Theatre Trips before then
Lunch Club – The Ox in North Baddesley is our next venue on June 21st at midday – (Not meeting during May)
New Table Tennis Group – This has been set up by one of our members and will be held at her house every other Tuesday afternoon for up to 8 people at a time. The next session is 15th May – It is going well and all ladies, newbies, beginners and ‘Murrayettes’ are enjoying it and having fun.
